Summer Lovin'

I can’t tell you how many times I’ve seen that song make it onto couples ‘DO NOT PLAY’ list for the DJ. A list I love to familiarise myself with for every wedding, simply for a giggle and to see if I know my couples as well as I think I do. This list is usually provided the month before the wedding, so we’ll have been working with couples for a year, sometimes even 2 at this point. Always insightful!

I’m currently on my way to Italy. I was up at 4am with my son and by 5.30am I wason the way to the airport. I’m heading over to enjoy Danielle’s daughters 30th birthday party. It’s extremely extravagant of me to be doing and a real luxuryas I rarely get time to myself outside of work. Danielle and I have grown to be such great friends on our journey as business partners and it’s really special for me to come and be a part of this celebration, which happens to be taking place at one of our epic wedding venues just outside of Certaldo in Tuscany.

I’m really going to try and take it all in, consume unhealthy amounts of food (and maybe some wine…). Not only do Danielle and I rarely take a day off, it’s our last weekend before our 2019 wedding season kicks off – which of course we’re extremely excited for!

We’ve played our role, gotten to know our couples so well, been there to listen and provide advice, to problem solve and create beautiful events on paper and in conversation, now it's time to bring them to life. This is probably the bit we love the most as the excitement builds for our couples, it’s our chance to seamlessly execute these amazing days we’ve constructed together. It’s true team work. With every couple dedicating time and energy to the decisions in front of them, it’s now time to show how good these decisions are!

To our couples - we can’t wait to see you all relaxing into your wedding days, being yourselves and revelling in your excellent choices.

To our readers- we can’t wait to show you the true epic nature of these weddings. As we’vegrown and learnt from each and every wedding, our events become even more of anexperience and even more beautiful for all involved.
