2017: What a year!

Over the last two weeks, we’ve taken some time away from our screens and the weddings we’re currently planning, to take a look back at an amazing year.

It’s been a year full of sunshine, celebrations, hard work and incredible weddings. Oh and there was the small matter of Lucy having a baby too! We really have had the best year as wedding planners, and here’s a few reasons why…

It all started in January when our enquiries for 2018 started to grow more than we’d ever seen before. Word of mouth and the stunning photos of the weddings that we’ve been so lucky to plan and style had started to spread.

In March, Danielle met lots of our 2018 couples that headed over to Italy for their venue scouting trips. Danielle loves this part, showing people around Italy and wowing them with the incredible gems that we find. We also had final trips for some of our 2017 couples doing final tastings ahead of their summer wedding.

When the summer came it was go, go, go! Lucy went off to have baby Ziggy and Danielle held the fort through our peak wedding season with help from two assistants Charlotte & Ramona. This summer we’ve fully planned truly unique weddings in Tuscany, Puglia and The Lakes. Along the way we’ve discovered some stunning locations suited just to each couple, many having not hosted weddings before! We’ve also found and worked with many incredible suppliers with passions that match our own. We’ve arranged the legal weddings of many mixes of nationalities and worked closely with a range of embassies to do so successfully.

In July we celebrated Sophie & Tom’s wedding in Tuscany. With a Dolce Vita theme, this wedding really felt like we were in a film. Check out the photos of this incredible wedding here.

In August we were part of a beautiful ceremony at the one and only San Galgano Abbey. Bara & Jason had an intimate ceremony and celebration for their wedding. You can see the photos here.

Moving into 2018, more couples that ever have chosen us as their wedding planners and we couldn’t be more thrilled to be at capacity for this coming year. That means that we have the pleasure of spending time with like-minded people, from around the world, who share our passion of Italy and its amazing culture.

In 2018 we’re extremely excited for upcoming weddings that we’ve planned in Sardinia, Puglia, Lake Como, Umbria and all over Tuscany. We can’t wait to tell you all about them next autumn.

Thank you to everyone that’s helped to make this year so special for us. To every couple that we’ve spoken to, every supplier that we’ve worked with, every venue that we’ve visited, everyone that’s covered our work and all of our followers, a huge thank you from both of us. We’re smiling as much as our bride Sophie is here…
